How To Draw A Dutch Angel Dragon Head

This wiki is Non an official Dutch angel dragon torso Anatomy guide, but merely my procedure and understanding of their body Beefcake. I am Not making this for people to re-create my art style, nore does this give you permission to do so. I'1000 making this to hopefully help people that are struggling with their Beefcake, and figuring out where to start. I hope to aid people improve on their own unique way. Allrighty, first off im going to requite you guys some tips I find help me profoundly.

Offset tip: References, employ them! Google pics of horses, dogs, and birds or other anatomy guides for dutch angel dragons. They assist sooooo much!

Second tip: Get good at drawing horses, birds, and dogs. The dutch affections dragons anatomy is a lot like their beefcake. If you tin can describe them, you will have no trouble with Dutchies.

Third tip: this is the most important tip In my stance. When I was a new creative person I struggled with this a lot! Go along to your styal! Now I know what your thinking " gee Ace we get information technology, don't copy other peoples styles." Well yep i am implying that. I'thou also saying this because it can be difficult to create your own style of fine art, well you lot accept another person style in mind. Don't try to force yourself to look a certain way. Let your listen do the work, get with the flow. It's okay if information technology dosnt look a certain way, with practice you'll get where you desire to be. Trust me, I should now. I'chiliad still not 100% happy with my Style.

Allrighty! I'm going to put this into categories and steps. There will be 3 categories with steps, and explanations regarding their specific steps. Hopefully makeing it easier for you guys to empathise my style of doing things.

                              ☆Category ane☆

                                The head

                        ~Stride 1 head shape~

However horse heads tin can also have varying shapes to them too. Non all horses are going to accept a completely straight face. Some accept more of a curve to their muzzle, or a bow to it.

Alrighty! Now for the fun office. You lot ameliorate have a peace of paper and pencil ready, or if y'all prefer digital, Q upwardly your computer we're drawing a Dutchie head! Proceed room on your paper to add a body, tail, legs, and wings.

Then, nosotros're going to start off with the fundamentals of practically every drawing. A circle!

Now yous don't have to do this, only I similar to define part of my circle where I want the muzzle to offset.

For the adjacent stride. Your going to desire to stare at the tiptop of your circle. And so bring a line down for the muzzle, then roll it in to make a mouth.

(sorry if I explicate how to do this poorly. I was having a difficult time figuring out how to explain this part)

And so y'all need to give your Dutchie a bottom jaw. Start at the lips? (Idk what to telephone call them) and draw a smaller line that curls back into a cheek.

(go on in mind you don't want your lesser jaw sticking out to far. otherwise your duchie will wait similar they take an upper bite)

Now go back to the height of your circumvolve, and brand a slightly curved line down. This is going to be the back of your neck. Besides go to the bottom of your Dutchies cheek and make a line that curves towards the back of the neck.

And there you take the basic shape of a dutch angel dragon head.

Once you've got the head shape to your liking. Yous can move on to giving your Dutchie their center, ears, nostrils, and more than of an expression.

                             ♡Category 2♡

                                   {torso}

                         Step 2: torso shape

Alrighty, we've fabricated information technology to the body! And so, just like the caput. Horses can have varying trunk types as well.

To start on the body you are basically going to continue off where nosotros left with the head.

Y'all desire to go back to the neck, and go along at that place. Start at the front end of the neck and curve it down into a chest shape, slightly bringing information technology up to shape the abdomen.

Then continue with the back of the cervix. Bringing it down into a back rounding information technology off and connecting information technology to the belly to make the rump.

At present the tail is only a continuation of the dorsum and abdomen slowly getting smaller. Curving any way you want.

                            Drawing legs

Now the legs I'm going to explicate a little. The dutch angel dragon from what I've seen, has a very domestic dog like leg stricture. The horse has three unlike joints in their frunt leg. As where the dog/Dutchie only have two. Fifty-fifty when the Dutchie has hooves they notwithstanding just have two.

however don't let this stop y'all from cartoon the legs however you would similar. Remember this is your art your style. So if you feel like drawing legs one way go right ahead.

And so, with that in your listen. Allow's give are Dutchie some legs.

and the back legs are also very dog like.

Decided to go and give our duchie Hooves and paws then I could show you what hooves would look like.

                            ◇Category 3◇

                                  {Wings}

Dutch angel dragons can have a plethora of different Wing shapes, so long as they are covered in feathers. Don't experience like you have to stick to one await. Go Google different bird wing shapes. Y'all'll be surprised how many there are.

However I'yard going to show you the way I like to draw wings.

Your going to want to start at the top of the shoulder of your Dutchie. And draw the basic construction of a fly.

How I find where all my feather would go is by drawing the outline of each layer of feathers.

And the fill them in. First with the 1st, 2nd and then 3rd. Beginning at the bottom with rounded feathers, and slowly start making them bigger and pointy or as you go.
